The SCRC is dedicated to supporting and promoting research initiatives among clinicians at Soroka hospital. Any clinician with an interest in conducting a study is encouraged to contact SCRC representatives to discuss their research idea and receive guidance on study methodology. If requested, a specialized research team will be assembled for each study or trial based on the needs of the protocol, and may include research assistants, biostatisticians, programmers, and other staff working alongside the project manager and physicians. The SCRC is available to assist researchers at any stage of their project, from planning to completion, for the entire project or for one specific task, such as data extraction or IRB submission or proposal write-up, etc.
The SCRC team does not work for free, however we do not charge researchers who do not have any funding. The SCRC will review the research plan and determine if it can be completed using a retrospective database analysis. If so, the SCRC will cover the expenses. If the research plan requires a significant amount of time and resources, or if it requires the collection of new data, the SCRC will assist in writing and submitting a proposal for external funding.
